Gunnar comes from the very successful del Lupo Nero kennel of Elke Müller and Michael Zamzow in Hamm, Germany. Without doubt, the kennel's most well-known dog is Pike. His influence has left a positive contribution to the breed both in Germany and elsewhere. Ron White (Argonne GSD), from whom I bought Fabi, has used him twice and both litters produced excellent working dogs of stable character. So, when the time came for me to reserve a male puppy, I chose to have one from Nell del Lupo Nero who is a full sister to Pike from an earlier litter. Gunnar came home on 6 April, 2014 just under four months of age.

On 30 May, 2015 Gunnar gained his
BH under WUSV recognised judge, Jim Jackson. Gunnar aged 17½ months. |
